Big Wood School Curriculum

Big Wood School, an outreach of Church of the Big Wood, provides a strong academic curriculum that is firmly based on Christian principles.  Children thrive in a loving and caring environment where they grow intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually.  Positive discipline is used throughout the school and children learn to respect themselves and one another. 

Big Wood provides an academic program for children 18 months through pre-Kindergarten with an after school enrichment club for Kindergarten - 1st graders. Our teachers are extremely dedicated, enthusiastic, and creative.  All classes follow our Academic Christian Curriculum that includes all of the letters, numbers, shapes, and Bible stories, as well as incorporating science, math, art, music, and physical activity into our daily lessons. We feel that our program provides the foundation needed for every child to smoothly transition to Elementary School with knowledge, self confidence, social and emotional skills, and a strong faith.
