Congregational Care

The work of caring is the responsibility of the entire congregation. However, we have several ministries that facilitate our sense of community and caring.

Ketchum Community Dinners

Usually October - May, Free meals will be served on Wednesday nights from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM at St. Thomas Episcopal Church on Sun Valley Road. All are welcome. If you are interested in being part of one of the teams, please call Helen Morgus at 208.720.3598 for more information.

Hospitality Team

These ‘heavenly hostesses and hosts’ provide the refreshments after each of our worship services on Sundays.  In addition, they coordinate the all church picnic, our Christmas Hanging of the Greens and Chili Supper, and other special events as the need arises.

Meal Train Ministry

Do you or someone you know have a need for a meal train - after a death in a family, a home-bound elderly person, someone who’s just had surgery or has been hospitalized, birth of a new baby, a move, or even a person who’s going to be dealing with an illness on a long-term basis from home?

Please let us know so we can coordinate a few meals for you.

Prayer Chain

One of the most important ways we can support one another is through the ministry of prayer. Our prayer chain is a twenty-four hour ministry of intercession for every kind of need and request. Your request or participation is welcome.

Please email the prayer chain.

The Agape Fund

The congregation gives a special offering to meet the physical and financial needs of church members and people from the community facing financial hardship. The funds pay rent, bills, purchase lodging, provide a brake job for a car or food for a family. The ministry of this fund is overseen by two members of the congregation. Please fill out the agape assistance form, if you need help.

If You Need Help

The Agape Fund

The Agape Fund is a fund that is set aside through gifts of the congregation to assist members and non-members alike with short-term, one-time, financial assistance.  Two members of our congregation oversee the administration of this fund on a confidential basis.  We do not provide any monies directly to individuals, but rather provide resources, to help with bills, repairs, food, etc.  Please fill out the agape fund assistance form for help.

Pastoral Help

If you would like to meet with someone on our pastoral staff for an appointment, please contact us. Our staff does not offer long-term counseling, but is available to meet with you on a short-term basis, or during any kind of crisis.
