Church of the Big Wood is excited to invite you to participate in our annual “Fall Focus,” this year entitled Practicing The Way. Named after a book by well-known pastor and author John Mark Comer, this eight-week study is described by Comer this way: “We are constantly being formed by the world around us. To be formed by Jesus requires each of us to become his apprentices.”

Our study this year will involve three coordinated parts:

1. Sunday Morning Messages: Our sermons on Sunday morning will be focused on what it means to be “be like Jesus, become like him, and do as he did”.

1. Reading the Book: We have purchased copies of Practicing the Way (available in the lobby and church office during the week) which we are encouraging everyone to read in parallel with the sermon series.

2. Small Group Study: Our church's small groups will be using a parallel RightNow Media video series and study guide. If you are not a member of a group, we hope to have a number of them available to join in the coming weeks.

While you are encouraged to join one of our small groups, access to all the material is available to individuals, and you are welcome to participate by doing the study on your own.
