While unfortunate, it is important our church be intentional about being prepared in case an incident should occur at the Church of the Big Wood. We have recently updated our safety procedures and structural improvements for the school and church facility. Our next step is to provide awareness and training of how to respond if an active shooter incident should occur.

The focus of this training is on how we can stay safe, help anyone who is injured and assist agencies who respond. It is not training on how to take down or disarm the shooter.
