What’s So Amazing About Grace?
Church of the Big Wood’s Fall Focus
(Oct. 10 - Nov. 14, 2021)
We are excited to invite you to participate in this year’s Fall Focus, What’s So Amazing About Grace? Named after Philip Yancey’s classic book, in this study we will be studying what the Bible means when it talks about “grace,” and how it is that we can begin to live as grace dispensers in our world.
Our Fall Focus involves three coordinated parts:
1. Sunday Messages: Our sermons on Sunday morning will focus on themes about grace from the book, with titles including: “No Strings Attached,” “An Unnatural Act,” “The Art of Forgiving” and more.
2. Reading What’s So Amazing About Grace: Yancey’s book will be available for sale for $10, and if cost is an issue, just let us know and we’ll get you a copy. A recommended chapter reading list will be provided in order for your reading to correspond both to the sermon and to the small group study for the week.
3. Small Group Study: Our church's small groups (which meet on various different days and times times) will also be studying the theme for the week, using a brand new What’s So Amazing About Grace video curriculum and workbook ($10). If you are not currently in a group that will be participating in this study and would like to be, please let us know by signing up at the table in the church lobby. There is also a list for any of you interested in hosting a group (coaching will be provided!).
While you are encouraged to participate in all three of these opportunities, we understand that this is not always possible - so please feel free to participate at whatever level you are able. Questions? Call or email Mark at mark@pcbw.org or 208.726.5123.
